PHYSIOTHERAPIST / SWIMMING COACH
Roberta is a licensed exercise physiologist and physiotherapy graduate from Manchester Metropolitan University 2012. Roberta has over 10 years experience in sports conditioning under her belt and specialises in cycling, swimming, running and adventure racing.
For these sports, Roberta focuses on providing exercise prescriptions for many different levels of fitness and is particularly interested in training women. Furthermore, she feels it is important for corporate clients and health clubs to introduce these sport into their health and fitness services.

Roberta has four years of experience in orthopaedic inpatient and outpatient and hydrotherapy as a practicing physiotherapist. This has sparked an interest in utilising hydrotherapy rehabilitation for all athletes, especially for those with sport injuries, pre-operation, post-operation, neurological or long term conditions.
To further supplement her existing experience, Roberta is currently working towards gaining more exposure to biomechanics and returning to the field of sports but on the clinical side. Athlete education about their injury and rehabilitation is a core part of Roberta’s treatment, as she believes it enables her patients to take control of their condition and successfully manage it both in the short and long term
One of Roberta’s key skills is that she is a very good listener and believes this is the best approach for getting to know athletes inside out and helps her to develop a more holistic and customer focused treatment.
I was involved in coaching other athletes at the same time as training and competing myself.
Whilst training and competing I have also been coaching other athletes mainly in swimming and sports transitioning.
As my main passion is for open water swim I am really proud of achieving 3rd place in the age group for 10 km for the USA FINA championship.
There are two types of gym users. People who would like to get fit and improve and people who need to get fit and improve. I was definitely the latter. After a horrendous accident I spent 6 months in a coma. It absolutely ravished my body."Peter.
